Junior Tactician is committed to supporting our fellow brothers in arms. From the 2010 ADF Mental Health Prevalence and Wellbeing Study it is estimated that 8.3% of all ADF members will have experienced Post Traumatic Stress Disorder within the last 12 months, that is 4,945 of our brothers and sisters per year. The below Not-For-Profit organisations are here to help us overcome these adversities and more to get us back doing what we love. RSL DefenceCare is a charity and not-for-profit organisation helping current and ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force and their families in times of injury, illness or crisis. RSL DefenceCare provides practical, compassionate and immediate support for current and ex-serving members of the ADF and their families. Our services are free of charge and include assistance with Department of Veterans’ Affairs claims, advocacy at the Veterans’ Review Board, counselling, support during a crisis or the death of a loved one, and financial assistance.
Mates4Mates supports current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members (and their families) who are wounded, injured or ill as a result of their service including:
Soldier On’s mission is to achieve the best reintegrated generation of serving and ex-serving men and women in Australia’s history. Our Veteran and Family Support Program offers a range of services, resources and opportunities to current and ex-serving ADF members including Mental Health Support, Employment Support Services and Social Connected Activities and Programs.
Frontline Yoga delivers Trauma Aware Yoga that develops Resilience, Strength and Connection with practical tools for self-regulation. Tools that help optimise individual responses to combat and occupational stress specific to military and para-military organisations.
Classes run weekly in donated spaces to support the healthy function of past and present Police, Fire, Ambulance, Military, Healthcare workers, Lifesavers, RFS/SES & Volunteer Paramedics.
